Biosketch:

Dr. Khanh Lai completed her undergraduate major in Human Biology at Stanford University. She completed her medical school training at the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine. She completed her Pediatric residency at the University of California, Irvine based at Miller Children’s and Women’s Hospital Long Beach, Children’s Hospital of Orange County and UC Irvine Medical Center. She graduated from Pediatric Pulmonology fellowship at University of California, Irvine based at Miller Children’s and Women’s Hospital Long Beach and is board certified in Pediatric Pulmonology.

In 2016, Dr. Lai joined the University of Utah and is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Pediatric Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine. Her clinical interests include cystic fibrosis, asthma, bronchopulmonary dysplasia and chronic lung disease of infancy, pulmonary hypertension, and interstitial lung disease.

Dr. Lai’s research interests include understanding risk factors for pulmonary exacerbations in children bronchopulmonary dysplasia and chronic respiratory failure. She is a strong advocate of quality improvement and medical education and has worked on projects to improve pulmonary artery hypertension screening and monitoring practices in infants with chronic lung disease of prematurity.
