Services Provided: Vaccines for Children (VFC) is a federally funded entitlement program that provides vaccines at no cost to children who meet one of the following eligibility requirements:
-- receive Medicaid
-- without health insurance
-- have health insurance but it does not cover immunizations
-- American Indian or Alaskan Native
Since its inception in 1994, the VFC Program has improved vaccine availability, increased immunization coverage, and reduced disparities in access to health care.
