Open Monday- Friday, 8am- 5pm. Staff and volunteers are available 24-hours a day to respond to crises and assist with follow-up as needed. Provides networking and support to people in rural area who are suffering from domestic and sexual violence, encourages awareness and understanding of domestic and sexual violence through public education, provides training and supervision of volunteer advocates and peer counselors whose focus is one of support to individuals suffering from violence, provides referrals to other service providers, and provides emergency services to people in crisis situations.

They work with victims (and their children) of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual violence, and stalking.

Helpline

24-hour a day helpline for people who have experienced domestic violence, sexual assault or stalking. The anonymous line is staffed by skilled volunteer advocates who attend regular trainings. Through the helpline, victims can access immediate assistance, including emergency shelter, transportation, food, and other essential needs.

Direct Services

Includes crisis intervention, help accessing shelter and meeting immediate needs to assistance navigating the legal system and accessing social services. Those survivors of sexual assault who want a forensic medical examination are accompanied by staff or volunteers and receive personal support throughout the process.

Transitional Services

Provide long-term—up to two years—of support for clients. Its mission is to help survivors of domestic violence leave the cycle of abuse and become self-supporting. Services include help finding and securing housing as well as ongoing financial assistance for rent, help finding employment if necessary, and accessing social services programs when appropriate. 

The Abbie Shelter is the primary service provider for victims of domestic and sexual violence in the Flathead Valley. The organization’s mission is to promote safety, independence, & empowerment to victims & survivors of domestic & sexual violence. Programs and services include a 24-hour crisis hotline, serving as a gateway to other services; emergency shelter (The Abbie); legal advocacy; mental health services; and community education.

The YWCA’s Pathways Program offers shelter, crisis counseling and support for survivors of domestic and sexual violence, including the 24-hour crisis hotline; safe shelter for women, men and children fleeing abusive situations; walk-in peer counseling; weekly support groups; in-house short-term therapy; referrals to community resources; and legal, personal and medical advocacy.

Services include:

• Walk-in peer counseling for women and men dealing with issues of domestic and/or sexual violence
• Safe and confidential shelter for women and children in crisis from domestic and/or sexual violence
• Support groups for survivors of domestic violence and their children.
• Volunteer and staff children's advocates
• Supervised visitation and exchange

For those impacted by domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault and stalking, Dawson County Domestic Violence Program is the catalyst for change by utilizing the empowerment model. The program is committed to providing the resources and direction necessary to ensure safety, healing, and the prevention of further violence.

ASPEN provides free, confidential direct services such as a 24-hour support line, emergency shelter, crisis counseling, support groups, legal advocacy, information & referrals, safety planning, emergency 911 phones, assistance with orders of protection, forensic medical exam support, community outreach, and educational programs.

Services include survivor advocacy, legal advocacy, individual counseling, emergency shelter, a 24-hour support line, three support groups, and community education. These services are all vital to both intervention and prevention of domestic violence in the Gallatin Valley.

Offers 24/7 information, support, and advocacy to young people between the ages of 13 and 26 who have questions or concerns about their romantic relationships. Provides support to concerned friends and family members, teachers, counselors, and other service providers through the same free and confidential services via phone, text, and live chat. Provides comprehensive education through resources including quizzes, interactive pages, and testimonials, as well as training, toolkits, and curriculum for educators, peers, and parents to promote healthy relationships and prevent future abuse.
