Services Provided: Butte 4-C’s is a non-profit regional child care resource and referral agency serving children, families, and early childhood professionals in southwest Montana. We became a 501 (c) 3 organization over 40 years ago in June of 1974. Although child care resource and referral is our primary source of business, our organization provides a broad range of programs and services to meet the increasing needs of children and families including the Best Beginnings Child Care Scholarship; child care referrals; training, technical assistance, and professional development for early childhood professionals; the Child and Adult Care Food Program; evidence based home visiting; supervised visitation; parent education; children’s mental health; the early childhood coalition; grandparent support group; and parent support groups.

Eligibility: Family gross income does not exceed 150% of poverty level. Single parent families working at least 60 hours per month if attending school full time, or two parent families working at least 120 hours per month or both attending school full time. Services Provided: Child Care Resources administers the state-funded Best Beginnings Child Care Scholarship to help families with low income pay for child care. Scholarships are available to working families whose income is at or below 150% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines, as well as families who receive cash assistance through the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program. In order to qualify, the child must attend a licensed child care center, a registered group or family child care home, or be cared for by a legally unregistered child care provider. Each family participates in the cost of their child care by making a co-payment based on a sliding fee scale.
