Services Provided: Family Outreach’s primary purpose is to provide services to children with disabilities and their families, and to adults with disabilities. Their role is primarily educational - teaching families and friends how to teach skills to children and adults with special needs. They teach families and individuals how to become advocates and encourage the development of skills that move people towards greater independence and inclusion in their communities.
They offer early intervention services for children ages 0-3 and their families, where the child has a developmental delay or an established condition placing them at risk of developmental delay. Families of children with a developmental disability older than three can also get Family Education and Support Services. They offer intensive services for those children who qualify for the Children’s Waiver and Children’s Autism Waiver services. Supported living for adults with disabilities is also available.
