State Mandate for Audiology in Montana--Please Read

Address: MT
Service Categories:
Services Provided: "All children in Montana are screened at birth for hearing loss. Children who do not pass the initial screen should be rescreened by an audiologist within the first month of life. This should be done privately or by the hearing conservation audiologist that serves the child's local school for free. If they still do not pass then they need to be evaluated by an audiologist with the capacity to do a full pediatric hearing evaluation. It is important to have hearing loss diagnosed and intervention started by six months of age to avoid a language disability. "
