Dr. Patrick Shea, Assistant Professor (Clinical), received his medical degree from University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston where he became interested in pediatrics and psychiatry. He completed his triple-board residency training at the University of Utah in Pediatrics, Psychiatry, and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in 2014. During his residency, he served as chief resident and also spearheaded the creation of a medical-legal clinic at his pediatric continuity clinic with the help of his faculty mentor. Dr. Shea currently works as an outpatient psychiatrist at the UNI Neurobehavioral HOME program, seeing patients of all ages with developmental disabilities. He also works at the University's Clinic 1A as a psychiatrist providing care for mental health needs of the HIV-positive population in Utah. In addition to his clinical duties, Dr. Shea serves on the Clinical Competency Committee for the training team responsible for the Child & Adolescent Psychiatry fellowship as well as the Triple Board residency program.
